What is covered?
An employee brings claims of harassment, sex discrimination and disability discrimination against her employer. She says comments about her age and forgetfulness, and subsequent performance management, were linked to menopause-related symptoms. During the tribunal you will:
- Learn how a claim progresses before it reaches a hearing
- See witnesses give their evidence
- See solicitors cross examining the witnesses
- Be able to ask your own questions of the witnesses
- Hear closing submissions (legal arguments) explaining what is considered when deciding if someone was unfairly dismissed and/or discriminated against
- Help decide the outcome.
You will also receive tips on how to avoid receiving a claim and how to increase your chances of successfully defending one if you do.
The mock tribunal will be hosted by James Austin, Partner at LCF Law.
