What is covered?
An employee has been dismissed. She claims it was because she is pregnant. Her ex-employer says it was because of her performance and conduct. During the presentation you will:
- Learn how a claim progresses before it reaches a hearing
- See witnesses give their evidence
- See solicitors cross examining the witnesses
- Be able to ask your own questions of the witnesses
- Hear closing submissions (legal arguments) explaining what is considered when deciding if someone was unfairly dismissed and/or discriminated against
- Help decide the outcome.
You will also receive tips on how to avoid receiving a claim and how to increase your chances of successfully defending one if you do.
The mock tribunal will be hosted by James Austin, Partner at LCF Law.
