If you work within the legal sector, we invite you to join our free seminar which will provide you with insight and advice on a range of areas of risk, guiding you through the different measures that can be taken to help mitigate risk and safeguard your business
What is covered?
SRA AML Purge - The SRA has advised that it is going to severely increase its enforcement of money laundering compliance, following its continual frustration with non-compliant firms. In addition to their purge on AML breaches, they are also ramping up the level of fines being imposed, so the best preparation is to understand what it is that the SRA are going to be looking for and how to avoid these issues
Regulatory Concerns - Regulatory “hot topics” facing the legal sector such as Supervision and we welcome questions from the floor on any specific, or even generic, concerns you may have.
Cyber Threats - The legal profession is one of the most targeted sectors by cyber criminals and the threat is not only increasing but also evolving too. Cyber attacks can cost law firms thousands of pounds, and have a negative impact on reputation. In this session we examine the thought process of the cyber criminal and how to protect your firm against attacks on your client & office accounts, ransomware and malware attacks and stealing of data. We know this is a very emotive subject so again we invite questions from the floor.
